    Shola Tinubu, popularly referred to as ST is an astute insurance practitioner with over 30 years experience in the insurance industry. He is passionate about excellence, creativity, inclusivity, gender balance; the youth and professionalism. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Lagos, he is a Fellow of the Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London. He joined Scib Nigeria & Co. Limited in 1988 and after holding several Management positions including Head of Life and Pensions in 1991, he was elevated to the Board in 1999. He was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 1st October 2002. He has presented various Technical papers to practitioners in the industry over the years, which include Principles of Insurance, Risk Management, Life Assurance and Oil and Gas Insurances. He runs the annual induction course on Professionalism and Ethical Issues in Insurance Broking for new CEOs at the NCRIB. Tinubu’s proficiency cuts across Life and Pensions, Oil and Gas, and Property insurances. He is a past president of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) from 2017 to 2019 and has served on various committees: Education and Training Committee, Technical, Event organizing committee and Product Develop Committee to mention a few. He also served on several other Committees including Implementation Committee, Finance Committee and the Building Committee which delivered the Council’s current Secretariat Complex. Tinubu also served on the CIIN Council, Education Committee and various other CIIN committees. He is the Chairman of the Insurance Sub-Committee of the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum a body set up by The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). He also served as the Leader of the Work Group on Improving Access to Insurance Services set up by the Federal Government in December 2014 towards the Transformation of the Nigerian Insurance Sector. Shola Tinubu served as the Chairman of the Insurance Industry Consultative Council’s Planning Committee and for the first time, introduced the CSR IDP project which has been adopted by the Insurance Industry as awhole. This initiative brought JCI Nigeria as one of its partners for the project. He is a Past President of the Nigeria-Britain Association, where he has overseen several projects and initiatives such as: Akintola Williams Youth Debate, which is aimed to promote critical thinking and articulate speech among young students in public and primary schools, thereby improving standards in Nigeria in so many areas. NBA Fashion Competition, which is one of the youth development programme where young people are encouraged to show their potentials at an early age. Annual Lectures with focus on: Risk Mitigation and Business Opportunities, Sexual Abuse During Covid-19 Pandemic, Nigeria and Britain: Cultural Diversity, amongst others. Shola Tinubu is a JCI (Junior Chamber International) senator, the highest and lifelong honour bestowed on a member for their service to humanity and the Organisation. He initiated collaborations with BE Africa and also JCI (Junior Chamber International) Nigeria on many projects. He is a member of the Visual Arts Society of Nigeria (VASON), Metropolitan Club, Ikoyi Club and Yoruba Tennis Club.

    Niel Genders - Account Executive (Location - London) Neil began his career at Energex in 1994 where he worked in the claims team before moving into the upstream and downstream broking and technical area specialising in Far East risks when he moved to Marsh in 1999. Moving to Aon in 2003, Neil then continued to service and broke Far East business until an internal move to the European team offered Client management opportunities. Neil handled accounts such as Statoil ASA, Wintershall and RWE before moving to Alesco Risk Management Serviced Ltd in 2008 as one of the Partners. Neil remained at Alesco until his move back to Aon in 2013 in the role as team leader of the London account management team. Neil looks after clients in Ghana, Nigeria and Angola as well as heading up the Aon energy Africa business initiative.     Sina Elusakin is the Managing Partner at Special Risks Consultancy Services Limited, (An Oil & Gas Risk Management and Energy & Aviation Insurance/Reinsurance Consultancy firm). Mr. Sina Elusakin who retired as the Deputy Managing Director of IGi a few years ago is also the Vice Chairman of GRS Insurance Brokers Limited (Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers) Sina is a Statistician, Finance Expert, Chartered Insurer and a seasoned Reinsurance and Special Risks Underwriter with sharp analytical skills and entrepreneurial drive. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria; Associate of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Certified Management Consultant, Member of the Energy Institute, London, Member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Fire Protection Association of Nigeria. Mr. Elusakin who started his insurance career as a Research and Planning Officer with NICON over 32 years ago had also worked in various capacities in the insurance industry including Africa Re where he was the head of Special Risks. He also managed the two Africa’s largest and most successful insurance pools namely African Oil and Energy Insurance Pool and African Aviation insurance Pool. A retired Executive Director at IGI Nigeria and Non-Executive Director of SONARWA in Rwanda, Sina is currently on the Board of International Health Management Services Ltd., Nigeria, GRS Insurance Brokers Ltd. Nigeria and NIC General Insurance Ltd., Uganda. Mr. Elusakin has written many scholarly articles and facilitated many professional courses bothering on Special Risks insurances both in Nigeria and internationally.

    Steve has 34 years insurance experience in various roles. Since 1994 he has been providing Client service for large corporate entities focusing on those in the energy sector for the last 10 years. Steve is currently a Client Manager in the Energy division of Aon’s Global Broking Centre. Whilst Steve services a range of clients, he has a particular specialism in upstream risks (on and offshore), business interruption insurance, and Shale Gas operations

    Kayode joined Ark Insurance Group as the Head of Energy in March 2010. He served as a Senior Oil and Gas broker for HSBC Insurance Brokers for four years, where he specialized in Risk Management for independent Energy companies and International Oil Companies operating in Africa on Projects such as Power & Utilities, Upstream Oil and Gas, Down Stream Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy. Mr. Kayode has worked at Marsh McLennan’s Marine and Energy practice as a marine broker specializing in the risk exposure of ports and terminals. As a result of his stellar performance as Head of Energy and Power Unit, he was unanimously appointed by the Board as Managing Director/CEO of Ark Insurance Brokers Ltd in July 2012. He earned a BA with Honors in Economics and BA with honors in International Relations from Boston University. He also holds an MSC in Risk Management and Insurance with distinction from Cass Business School in 2008.
